Customer Reviews
The best advice you can get! Love her.
I wished I’d listened to Dr Laura years ago. I may have made a much better wife, mother and daughter. I just love her. I have recommended her to my friends and they love her too. Thanks
Not a nice person
There is some useful advice at times, which keeps people following her and attentive; but along with the occasional useful suggestion she is unnecessarily rude to people, and at times just downright insensitive, inappropriate, and mean. I would never pay money to see a psychologist with the interpersonal skills that this person has. Will not be buying her books.
It really is possible to give helpful useful advice to people without being mean and rude. Other people you may want to listen to with robust evidence-based advice for relationship guidance include John and Julie Gottman, Stan Tatkin, and Sue Johnson. For personal development try Gabor Maté, Russ Harris, and Brené Brown.
One star is too generous
I just searched for a podcast and found this podcast, I found an episode that I thought was relevant. The caller was in need of help and wanting advice. Dr Laura was aggressive, confrontational and probably made someone who had mustered up a lot of courage to call in feel even more exposed and berated.
