    People Pleaser

    People Pleaser

Hey ya'll - Happy Monday! Welcome back to a new episode of Extra Pinata. Today, I will be sharing a short story reflection about growing up as a people pleaser. Sometimes, being a people pleaser may although carry the right intention it isn't necessarily healthy for either you or the person you are trying to please. Instead, being your authentic self allows you to hold space for others without crossing your boundaries - a win/win situation. So, I hope you enjoy this new episode and you can find more of my work on Instagram @extra_pinata

Spreading Love and Kindness with Shreyaa and Esha Vankat

Spreading Love and Kindness with Shreyaa and Esha Vankat

Hey ya'll, hope you had a lovely weekend and spent some time taking care of yourself! Giving love to others is important but in order to do that compassionately, it is important to give love to yourself too. In this week's episode, I have the incredibly Shreyaa and Esha Vankat who are founders of an NGO called @joinnest. It was not only incredible to listen to them share their ambition for the future but hear the excitement through their voice. They started their NGO at the age of 10 and 15, and now has over 1000 volunteers. They run 5 different programs ranging from distributing food to the homeless all the way through to providing education for pre-schoolers and kindergarten. Honestly, my admiration for both of them after the interview was just sky-rocketing and my hope is that those that are listening can feel motivated to spread MORE love and kindness to the community around ourselves.

You can find more of their work on their website https://www.nest4us.org/index.html

Becoming a Global Citizen | Short Story

Becoming a Global Citizen | Short Story

Hey folks - Happy Monday! Welcome to a new segment of Extra Pinata. In these episodes, I will be sharing a short story reflection in some of my learnings throughout my 20s. Sometimes, it can be really challenging to see past our chaotic moment. And so, by sharing my reflection I hope those who are going through a rough transition can be reminded to embrace the seasons of your life. Every moment carries its own magic and beauty.

This episode, I open up and share my journey in finding my own cultural identity. Growing up as an Asian Australian, I never felt like I belonged on either side of the bridge and it wasn't until I met my therapist did I realise I had more options than being 'Asian' or being 'Australian'.

So, I hope you enjoy this new segment! & you can find more of my work on
