When the Assistant District Attorney, the District Attorney himself, and the District Attorney's wife are all murdered in 60 days in Kaufman County, Texas, it was clear that someone had come into their small town with an agenda.  But what they would soon find out was that the killer was no stranger to the community; they had been there all along, watching and waiting, until the time was right.

    Big News in a Small Town_Part 1

When a district attorney is murdered in broad daylight in front of the Kaufman County courthouse in the middle of downtown Kaufman, Texas, rumors begin to fly that lead the investigation down rabbit hole after rabbit hole.  When a second tragedy strikes, then County Judge Erleigh Wiley would find herself with a target on her back and a private security detail on all sides.  And the only thing more unbelievable than the rumors, would be the truth itself.

    It Takes a Village

    It Takes a Village

When Candice Alexander of Lufkin, TX was found dead in her home from an apparent overdose of crystal meth, her death was initially brushed off as an accidental overdose from her drug of choice.  But when Detective David Campbell got his hands on the case, he knew there was something more to it.  Over the course of the next 2 years, Det. Campbell would work tirelessly to show the community what had really happened to Candice Alexander and how the community could have saved her.

Snips & Snails & Puppy Dog Tails

Snips & Snails & Puppy Dog Tails

3 year old Jesse Fisher Jr. was a typical, loud, rowdy, rough-n-tumble toddler boy. He sustained some kind of bumps and bruises on a pretty daily basis. But on March 30, 2010, Jesse was on a life flight to Cook's Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas with a severe head injury. His injuries didn't match up with the version of events coming from the man taking care of Jesse at the time, and Denton County Sheriff's Investigators would soon find out why.

A special thank you to Prosecutors Tony Paul and Michael Graves of the Denton County District Attorney's office (@DentonCountyDA) for their assistance and involvement in this episode!

Two Sides to Every Story_Part 2

Two Sides to Every Story_Part 2

You've already heard poor, poor, pitiful Kyle's side of the story that he was a broken man who snapped under the stress of losing everything he loved. But Melissa's side of the story paints a very different picture of a man hell bent on maintaining power and control, no matter what it took. And it's time for me to tell it.
