Lou's journey into tattooing began in his father's tattoo shop, a place where he was initially supposed to follow a different path, as per his father's wishes. However, Lou embraced the art, witnessing firsthand the evolution of tattooing, especially during the 90s when an increasing number of women began getting inked.

Lou didn't just stick to traditional tattoo studios; he once even operated a studio inside a hockey arena and managed seven different studios simultaneously. In 2012, he founded World Famous Tattoo Ink, after having established a tattoo supply chain in the late 90s that specialized in tattoo inks. His efforts were pivotal in legalizing tattooing in New York in 1998.
