Thank you for reigniting my passion for the enjoyment of both thought and knowledge. A passion that was all but extinguished during my first attempt at formal education, but has been renewed resulting in the completion of a bachelor’s degree in my 40’s a completely new and rewarding career and now the pursuit of a Masters degree in my 50’s.

How somebody that appears so smart can believe in fairy tales is beyond me

I like JP and he’s unquestionably one of the most influential thinkers out there but an interviewing host he is not. He wanted to talk to Richard Dawkins and boy does he talk TO Richard Dawkins to the point where poor Richard politely gets up and leaves. The cues are all there of RDs frustration that JP just doesn’t get and the lack of self-awareness is stunning. JP asks a question, answers it, goes off on many tangents, when the listener wants to hear what the interviewee has to say. Honestly, JP talked for more than 90% of the time - what a wasted opportunity to listen to one of the greatest minds around. The two other PCs I’ve listened to are much the same. You wouldn’t want to invite JP to a dinner party, he’d hold forth and ruin your evening. Please let your guests talk.
