    A Brief Dive Into D2C E-Commerce

    A Brief Dive Into D2C E-Commerce

I'll be honest, I'm in love with many  D2C brands. I'm always fascinated when I see a cool, new, hip brand enter the market and what they have to offer. And as much as I love being the person experiencing these brands, what intrigues me more is how they pull it off?

So to talk about this, I brought on Sarang, co-founder of Adscellent Media on this episode of Writeous. He has been working with many D2C businesses, helping them to not just scale through advertising, but also build a D2C brand.

Tune in to listen as we talk about our favourite D2C brands, learn more about how this specific segment of e-commerce is flourishing, and what some of these brands do that push them to glory while what some of them do that pull them down.

    Does The Copy Work?

    Does The Copy Work?

What is that makes copy work? When can you say that your content or copy successfully fulfilled its purpose? Is it only when it gets you a conversion? Or is there more to copywriting than meets the eye? Listen to this episode to find my perspective on this question.

A Worldview on Advertising & Marketing

A Worldview on Advertising & Marketing

This is a special one! For two reasons:

    1. Got Vikas on! Tune in to find out who he is! (I'm not giving it away here :p)

    2. This episode somewhat answers the question - "Why 'writeous' Gourav? What does it mean? I don't quite get it...

We discuss our perspectives on the world of marketing, how we've seen it evolve, and the impact it has had on our culture as well as our personal lives.

WARNING: This episode is definitely more on the thoughtful side of the industry rather than a practical conversation. If you're looking to listen to something that will give you actionable insights, this ain't it chief! If you're cool with that and are looking to understand a bit more about this concept of 'writeous', then go right ahead!

(DM me '1 Buck' to get a surprise😉. Let's see how many people actually read this stuff😂)

    A Podcast Episode on Podcasts

If you're someone who's considering starting a podcast, but you're not sure whether you should go ahead, then this episode is for you!

Joining me today for a podcast episode on podcasts is the founder and co-host of 5-Minute Library, a writer at one of India's leading news agency, and a wonderful friend, Piyushi Sharma!

Throughout this episode, we discuss certain aspects/questions that you should or could ask yourself before starting a podcast. They'll really help you concretize your idea and be more confident to speak, record and put your thoughts out into the world.

P.S. During the conversation, I mentioned IVM as 'Indus Valley Media'😂, but it is 'Indus Vox Media'. Please don't troll me :p

    Topical or Typical

    Topical or Typical

The 'O' in 'Topical marketing' stands for "Oh! That's so clever/funny/relatable/genuine/relevant. I definitely feel like sharing this with my circle."

But when the message falls short, the marketer didn't get the right sentiment or your reason to create a topical post was "because other brands were doing it", then the 'O' drops to become a 'Y'.

Y did they do this? Y did they think this was good? Y couldn't they just let it go?

On this episode of Writeous, I touch upon this touchy subject. I'd love to know your thoughts as well. Is topical marketing slowly turning into a topical anaesthetic that we'll just become numb to? Or will it always have a place in a marketers arsenal?
