A Freedom That Could Only Come From God

A Freedom That Could Only Come From God

The word “gospel” literally means, “good news.” It assures us that we’re saved by Jesus’ blood alone, not by anything we do. But how can we really know if the gospel we find in scripture is accurate? How do we know it wasn’t just a clever conspiracy the disciples came up with to gain a following? Pastor J.D. addresses those questions as he continues our series called, Freedom in the In-Between.

A Freedom Worth Fighting For, Part 2

On October 31, 2017, Christians around the world celebrated the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, when Martin Luther posted his 95 theses on the door of the Wittenberg church and called Christians to return to the true gospel. Pastor J.D. preached this special message in honor of that anniversary, explaining why the work of an ancient German monk is still relevant to our lives today. It’s part of our study in Galatians called Freedom in the In-Between.

In a new study of Galatians called, Freedom in the In-Between, we’re discovering how the gospel frees us to live with confidence in a world of uncertainty. Pastor J.D. kicks off the study with a message he preached in October of 2017, on the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. It’s a great reminder of why the actions of a 16th-Century German monk named Martin Luther still matter to us today.

    One Small Step, Part 2

    One Small Step, Part 2

Plenty of people have high aspirations. But as easy as it is to dream about our goals, it’s a lot harder to take the little, everyday steps to reach them. The same is true in our walk with God. We like to think we’d follow God to the ends of the earth, but we haven’t even taken the first little steps of faith. That’s our subject as Pastor J.D. wraps up our study of the prophet Elisha called, Something Greater.

    One Small Step

    One Small Step

When most of us pray, we typically spend the bulk of our time telling God about our needs and desires. There’s nothing wrong with that, but what does it say about our hearts? Pastor J.D. asks us to take a look inside and consider whether we really want God, or just his blessings. We’re in a two-part series called, Something Better/Something Greater.

Clear Eyes Full Heart, Part 2

Clear Eyes Full Heart, Part 2

If you wear glasses, you know how important they are for everyday life. And if you ever lose or break them, you’re not going to waste any time getting a replacement, because without our eyes, most of us are pretty helpless. And we also miss out on seeing all the beauty around us! As we continue our series called, Something Greater, Pastor J.D. reveals that you might be going through life blind, without even knowing it!
