Looking for drugs.... or was it shrubs?

My dad: so we have the neighbor across the street, he’s an elderly man (he’s retired) and the man next-door to him, he’s elderly as well, Obviously they don’t hear well, so the one old man asked the other:
Man one: Hey, what are you doing?
(And the old man goes)
Man two: I’m looking for shrubs.
(and he’s like)
Man one: You’re looking for drugs?!
(he’s like)
Man two: No! Shrubs*!
(he’s like)
Man one: What?!
Man two: I’m looking for shrubs!!!!
Man one: Why are you looking for drugs!?
Man two: I said shrubs!!!! Not drugs-
My dad: And that’s it he walked away, and he mumbled to himself:
Man two: Why would I be looking for drugs in the yard...
My dad: And that’s what happens when two elderly men, that don’t hear well-... that’s the type of conversation they have.
