S1E8: Karl Kruger - Across the Arctic on a SUP & how to truly connect with nature

Karl Kruger is not unknown in the SUP scene, as in the 2017 Race to Alaska, Karl became the first, and only person to paddle the 750-mile race course on a Stand-Up Paddleboard, completing the race in under two weeks.
Despite a difficult upbringing, where the outdoors was often associated with pain, anything that has something to do with water and nature is where Karl feels at home the most. And in recent years covering immense distances with his SUP became his focus.

In 2022 he set out to his newest challenge. All alone and only with his SUP he wants to become the first person to cross the notorious North West Passage in Canada stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean.

Karl is a passionate sailor, paddleboarder, and outdoor enthusiast. He lives in Washington State in the USA
He has set out to explore the Arctic on his SUP and become the first person to cross the Northwest Passage on a paddleboard.

Andrew became one of the best ultra-runners and holds several world records. Especially his run in 2011 from the north of Scotland all the way into the Saraha desert put him on the map of ultra runners.

Andrew is a medical professional and world record ultrarunner. He lives in Scotland with his family and has been an advisor to the Scottish government. He is the author of the book 'Running beyond limit' describing his run across the Sahara.

S1E5: Louis-Philippe Loncke - Extreme unsupported expeditions & how to enjoy being alone

Louis-Philippe Loncke surely ranks amongst the most extreme adventures out there, but he definitely put his name on the map when in 2008 he crossed the vast and deadly Simpson Desert in Australia in 35 days covering 800km, only using his own feet and carrying a heavy sled with him through the sand.

Today he will share his experiences in these extreme environments, talk about his feast to cross Tasmania in the winter, and gives us an idea of what it means to be completely alone.
