Incredibly thoughtful, considerate conversations on a wide variety of topics relating to making games work for you. I began listening for the amazing episodes on accessibility concerns with guest Elsa Sjunneson-Henry, and was delighted to find that every other episode went just as in-depth with its chosen topic. There's a real sense here of wanting to do right by an expanding, complicated community, and to lead the way with compassion and support. Modifier is a great bunch of people as well as a great resource for sparking thought and new opportunities in how you play games.

Modifier is a delightful interview show about the thoughts and ideas that go into tabletop and LARP design, with a focus on reshaping the rules to give everyone the best experience possible. This show is for anyone who has ever made a house rule in a game, and offers a lot of insight on how to make the hobby more friendly and accessible to everyone.

This review is long overdue. Meg talks to all sorts of talented game designers about their work and how they view the role of hacking or modifying tabletop games. It’s an insightful look into the minds of some of the hobby’s most gifted talents and is invaluable for anyone interested in game design. Meg’s passion for the craft and eagerness to jump into hearing about everyone’s projects is a huge draw. It’s so compelling hearing a host who’s as genuinely excited about what they do as Meg is. The projects themselves cover a wide range of topics and you really get a great sense of depth to each.
