Everyone’s telling the truth but Joseph?

Good digging on some lesser known cases and testimonies, but I find it strange that the 2nd, 3rd and first hand latent recollections are treated as trustworthy, while dismissing the claims of joseph smith. I’m shocked at how little discernment is used in building a case. Motive, timing, personal gain and convenience of testimony are rarely (if ever) addressed. I like the Hales for their ability to scour the records, but man… their conclusions are just plain silly and would be dismissed in any court of law regarding “evidence.”

This plural marriage, if not other, demonstrates what a sexual predator Joseph Smith was. He took a young girl into his home after her mother died, sent her father away, and shortly thereafter told the girl the girl he had been “ commanded by God” to take her as a plural wife. Not coincidentally, he did this while his wife was out of town. This series is pure apologetic work by Mormons, who refuse to face the facts.
Disappointing

Seems like the aim of this is to downplay the hardships these women faced and discredit other historians “opinions,” and called it speculation. Listen to A year of Polygamy if you want to actually learn about the lives of the women JS married.
Stellar research. Tackles tough questions while not jumping to conclusions.
