This last episode may be the best one ever. That said, I have loved each and every one, so who is to say if it is really, though, today, it is. Thank you for sharing I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. Thank you for the reminder to not only release and let die, but also choose what to fill that space with. Thank you for being you and for sharing you with the world, you are perfect.

Say you’re sitting at your kitchen table and a stranger walks in the door, takes a picture of your mother off the wall and begins to walk out with it. You tell them to stop, it’s yours and they have no right to be there. That it’s your picture, and special to you. The stranger tells you that you live in a mental prison and need to transcend human boundaries. There is no house, no rules, and furthermore the picture of your mother is as special to them as it is to you. Moreso even. That’s the style of this woman. To be more clear- some white people think they can tell people of color that their history, culture and values are there for the picking and that there is nothing sacred except what the white person decrees. That everything is for the white person who “transcends” pesky things like history, culture and respect. They do not recognize that their ability to be so detached is part of their privilege. This is one of those white feminist witches. There are much better people to listen to if you’re looking for insight, reflections and guidance on life. Spirituality isn’t about stealing, or equating religious objects to noodles. We need to take the opportunity to learn from each other, respect each other and defend another’s sacred space even if it doesn’t belong to or benefit us. We have to allow the sting of the ego and recognize our own selfishness and then do better. I’m disappointed with Angela using her platform to encourage people to continue colonialist attitudes and not doing the work she claims to be doing. I suggest the Good Ancestor podcast with Layla Saad, and the book “So you want to talk about race” by Ijeoma Oluo.
