In 2012, I started an online radio show called ”The Hate Project”. The goal of this show was to explore the real sources of bigotry and hate by allowing people who are racist, sexist, homophobic to call in anonymously in order to have an honest discussion about why they hate. I’m revisiting this project to reflect on it in the current era of Trump. I will be replaying old episodes and clips, bookended with my own commentary from today’s standpoint.

    Episode 35: Ending "The Hate Project"

    CW: Hate Speech/Language On this episode...I revisit the final episode of "The Hate Project" which aired on September 9th, 2013.  I reflect on "The Hate Project" overall, troll the trolls in the chat, and field phone calls from right-wing radio host "Newsguy" and "Kennewick Man" who I interviewed on Episode 28 and appeared on Episodes 5, 6, and 10. Later "TheChad80", who I interviewed on Episode 33 and appeared on Episode 29, joins the conversation.  We talk about literal hate-fucking, specifically the hypocrisy of male white nationalists coupling with non-white women. "Kennewick Man" discusses how some neo-nazi groups are possible fronts for satanists and we talk about how the government seeks to divide and conquer the populace.     Episode 34: Interview with D.K. Wilson (2019)

    On this episode...I catch up with D.K. Wilson, the black sportswriter, tennis pro, musician, anthropology expert that I interviewed in 2013 and revisited here on Episode 32 of this podcast We have a long robust conversation that covers many topics including (but not limited) to the problems of discussing race with white liberals, why Democrats constantly capitulate to Republicans, the 2020 election and if it's possible to actually have a liberal/progressive U.S. President, and how the government really asserts its power in order to maintain the status quo and quash real solidarity among the populace. We also argue about the status of Latinos in the U.S. and the migrant situation at the southern border, and D.K. also offers a different narrative on black slavery in the Americas.   We revisit the work that D.K.'s father did for the U.S. government, some paranormal activity, and we also revisit the topic of how People of Color suffer from Stockholm syndrome and self-colonization in America.  Follow D.K.     Episode 33: Black Alex Jones / Rich Hate, Poor Hate

    CW: Hate Speech/Language On this episode...I revisit "The Hate Project" episode 35 which originally aired on August 19th, 2013.  A young African-American man going by the name "TheChad80" calls in, and explains his own mission in talking to nationalists - both white and black - similar to the mission of my show.  Chad and I talk about a variety of topics. He talks about his views on zionism, the challenges in talking with white nationalists, and he makes the distinction between talking to respectable white nationalists like Jared Taylor versus the average skinhead.  Chad also mentions that he wants to become the next Alex Jones (this is in 2013 before Jones became fully evil). I also offer commentary from today including discussion of respectable hate groups and how they are just as dangerous as a skinhead street gang (re:Jared Taylor ->Council of Conservative Citizens -> Dylann Roof).     Episode 32: Racism in Sports and Beyond / People of Color have Stockholm Syndrome / Real Right-Wingism

    On this episode...I revisit "The Hate Project" episode 34 which originally aired on August 12th, 2013.  I have a great interview with D.K. Wilson, an African-American writer.  D.K. discusses how he wrote about racism in sports and found himself marginalized, blacklisted, and even threatened. He also talks about his own life including encountering racism at private school, being a tennis coach and a musician, and his experiences with paranormal activity which may be connected to his father's work in the government. Something that has stood out to me about this interview since 2013 is the fact that People of Color in this country suffer from Stockholm syndrome in relation to white people and white mainstream society, and it prohibits us from fully realizing our own humanity and realizing true liberation.  What do you think?     Episode 31: 2019 Interview with Corinna Luray Olsen - Former White Nationalist

    On this episode...I manage to catch up with Corinna Luray Olsen, the former white nationalist that I interviewed in 2013 and revisited here on Episode 29 of this podcast Corinna talks about her recent conversion to Islam, her current work in funeral homes doing reconstructive work for trauma cases, and other developments in her life since we last spoke. We also discuss the parallels of what she witnessed in the white nationalist movement and how the ideology has made it's way into mainstream American politics, how immigration has been used as an issue to push white nationalist ideas into the mainstream long before Trump, how hate groups recruit at gun shows and other avenues, how the rise of the incels has overlapped with white nationalism, and Corinna dispels Western myths about Islam.     Episode 30: Interview with Daryle Lamont Jenkins of One People's Project

    On this episode...I have a great conversation with antifascist civil rights activist Daryle Lamont Jenkins, founder of One People's Project. Daryle is portrayed in the new film "Skin", currently playing in theaters and available on demand.  Daryle's name has also been mentioned by a few nazis and white supremacists that called into "The Hate Project", due to his work in directly confronting these hate groups. We discuss "Skin", including Daryle's involvement in the film and how accurate it is to the real story it's based on. We also talk about whether it's worth engaging nazis/white nationalists in a peaceful manner versus treating them like terrorists, the pipeline of white nationalism to law enforcement and the White House, the attempt to designate "Antifa" as a threat based on false pretenses, the 2020 Election, and much more..     Episode 29: Leaving White Nationalism - A Journey of Embalming, Torture Porn, Bodybuilding, and Eventual Disillusionment with White Pride

    CW: Hate speech/language On this episode...I revisit "The Hate Project" episode 33 which originally aired on August 5th, 2013.  I have a great interview with Corinna Burt a former white nationalist who was known as "Axis Sally".  We have a long and fascinating conversation about her career working in a funeral home, working as a torture porn actor, participating in bodybuilding competitions, and how she became involved in the white nationalist movement and ascended to leadership status.  We discuss how she came to each turning point in her life and how she came to leave the white nationalist movement.  On the 2nd half, a racist psycho named "Pastor Visser" calls in and spews some hate in response to Corinna, and a young African-American called "The Chad80" calls in and explains how he tries to debate and dialogue with white nationalists, similar to what I'm doing.
