    Antichrist (2009) with guests Jeffery Owens & Krysta Curry

    The podcast gets slightly elevated as we bring on two guests, Jeffery Owens and Krysta Curry, to discuss Lars Von Trier's controversial movie "Antichrist". We cap off our "self-destruction" block of movies with this one, or we smash it in the dick with a log of wood, depending how you look at it. This movie is notable for being one open to wide and various interpretations, so we really dig into the soil of the dark forest this movie resides within to determine what exactly Von Trier is trying to tell us with it. One thing we can say for certain: Chaos does indeed reign. The featured band for this episode is Arizona's doom wizard's Goya with the track "Satan's Fire".     Vanishing Point (1971)

    For part 3 of our "self-destruction" block of movies we are hitting the great American highway of yore as we talk about 1971's cult hot rod movie "Vanishing Point". We join Kowlaski on this disastrous mission to get a white Dodge Challenger from Colorado to California, poppin' bennies, out smartin' smokies, and meetin' nudie biker cuties along the way.     Keeping within our theme of movies dealing with "self-destruction", we revisit the works of one of New York City's finest auteur's, Mr. Abel Ferrara. This time we are discussing 1992's "Bad Lieutenant" a film we collectively regard as a true classic in American cinema. Harvey Keitel stars as the titular bad lieutenant, or L.T., giving a lifetime performance.  We have a duo of featured bands on this episode: Indianapolis' World Eater with the track "Burning Season" and Seattle's Streetwalker with "In Fading Light".     On this episode, we return to author Richard Matheson's work for the source material of our cinematic discussion. This time it's 1964's proto-modern zombie flick "The Last Man On Earth",  starring classic American horror's most erudite and esteemed god-father, Vincent Price as protagonist Dr. Robert Morgan.  Hop in the hearse and take a spin down to the everlasting burning pile of the vampiric-zombie-undead hordes, won't you?  And don't forget to pick up some garlic at the local grocery along the way.     Have you ever wanted to get some road rage revenge on that a*****e in a Ford Dually (no pun intended) or that idiot prick semi driver who nearly clipped your car with an irresponsible merge? Well folks, hop into our red Plymouth Valiant with D. Mann, cause we are going for a wild ride. We are talking about Steven Spielberg’s directorial debut in 1971’s originally made for T.V. movie “Duel”. It’s a real white-knuckle episode, so empty that bladder before gettin’ your butt in the passenger seat.   This week’s featured band is Phoenix Arizona’s Yellowcake with the scorcher of a track “Can You See The Future”.     On this episode we are bringing you one more gruesome 2-some episode, and this time it’s in a BASKET. That’s right, we talk about that maniacal duo Duane and Belial making a return in Frank Henenlotter’s follow up to the gritty, lo-fi, unhinged splatter masterpiece Basket Case. Basket Case 2 introduces a whole menagerie of new oddballs, mutants and weirdos to accompany our reprised anti-heroes. It’s a real Nightbreed for nitwits here, folks. And we brought our friend Nathan Herbert from the Demolisten Podcast back on to have a laugh about it.     We have a double header of episodes this week so we can get you the requisite 4 episodes 4 Flixtober this month! Continuing with the theme of part deux sequels, we brought our good friend Orion Oblivion from D.C. doomsters Ilsa back on for more sweet, sweeeet suffering. That's right, we opened the puzzle box and let those kooky Cenobite's loose again to discuss the 1988 follow up to Clive Barker's groundbreaking Hellraiser, aka "Hellbound".  Don't miss out on this one, or your suffering will be legendary...maybe not in Hell, but at least in the tri-state area of wherever you may have your morning commute.
