    219. Warren Buffet’s 10 Money Secrets

Seychelle’s 10-year-old daughter Quinn is not ashamed to talk about money. She also loves to save it, make it, and spend it. Unfortunately, not many of us can say the same. Most of us grew up in environments where talking about money was taboo.
So, in honor of Quinn’s openness and curiosity—and to answer some of her many questions—today we cover Warren Buffet’s top 10 money secrets that everyone in the family can learn from.
We dig into: 1. Invest in Yourself; 2. Understand what You Invest in; 3. Focus on Quality Businesses; 4. Have a Long-Term Perspective; 5. Live Simply and Avoid Debt; 6. Value Investing; 7. Stay Rational and Disciplined; 8. Reinvest Profits; 9. Be Prepared for Market Volatility; and 10. Cultivate Good Habits.
And, if you are craving an environment where you can be like Quinn, check out our upcoming Her Best Life Flagship Experience, where you will be surrounded by women who aren’t ashamed to talk about money, either.

    218. Dare to Climb

    218. Dare to Climb

“Your new life is going to cost you your old one. It’s going to cost you your comfort zone and your sense of direction. It’s going to cost you relationships and friends. It’s going to cost you being liked and understood. It doesn’t matter. The people who are meant for you are going to meet you on the other side. You’re going to build a new comfort zone around the things that actually move you forward. Instead of being liked, you’re going to be loved. Instead of being understood, you’re going to be seen. All you’re going to lose is what was built for a person you no longer are.” - Brianna Wiest
If that quote challenges you, inspires you, touches something inside of you, then you are our people. Brianna Wiest is an absolute favorite of all of us here at Empire Builders, and we’ve unanimously chosen her as our keynote speaker for our Her Best Life 2024 Flagship Experience in Miami this September.
In this episode, we discuss why we chose Brianna as our keynote and read some of our favorite quotes from her best-selling books “The Mountain is You,” “The Pivot Year,” and more. If conversations about self-compassion, discomfort, purpose, and power fuel you, you’re going to love this episode, and you’re going to love our Her Best Life event.

    217. Vulnerability & Authenticity: Superpowers You Didn't Know You Had!

    217. Vulnerability & Authenticity: Superpowers You Didn't Know You Had!

Vulnerability might seem the opposite of strong leadership, but it’s actually foundational to it. In today’s episode, we talk about the benefits of being vulnerable and authentic. Plus, we give you three practices to unlock this superpower for yourself.
Brené Brown’s 2010 Ted Talk on The Power of Vulnerability sparked a new, positive way of looking at vulnerability. Vulnerability is the birthplace of joy, belonging, creativity, and love. It builds trust among teams. It allows us to honestly evaluate problems and come up with sustainable solutions. Vulnerability also gives back to us all the mental, emotional, and even physical energy we spend trying to hide our flaws and who we really are.
So, how do you start to unlock vulnerability and authenticity, especially if you’re a woman leader in the workplace? First, lean into your strengths so that you feel confident in allowing people to know about your weaknesses. Second, discover and ask for what you truly need. Third, develop and enhance your support system.
Don’t worry. We break this all down in detail in this episode and give you firsthand stories about how we have implemented vulnerability and authenticity as superpowers in our own businesses and lives.

    216. The Secret Path to Get People into Action

    216. The Secret Path to Get People into Action

Have you ever faced a situation where somebody in your life– a client, family member, team member– was stuck in non-action? Things weren’t going well and they just weren’t doing what they needed to do to change the situation?
In today’s show, we help you understand the psychology of non-action and teach you how to lead people past it.
When things aren’t going well, people try to find reasons other than themselves as the cause. It just hurts too much to admit they may be the cause. Plus, they may feel too overwhelmed or unequipped to do something about it. As a leader, it is your job to help them move through this.
We dive into details for each of the five steps you need to take. 1) Help them face reality with data and information; 2) Ask open-ended questions to get their buy-in; 3) Show them tactics of how to do it; 4) Give a deadline for a check-in; and 5) Reiterate your belief in them and remind them what’s in it for them.
This episode is full of valuable info, plus you get to hear about Tiffany’s time at THE “Hey Dude” dude ranch.

    215. How to Communicate with Anyone

    215. How to Communicate with Anyone

In any part of life, but especially in real estate sales, communication is critical. In this episode, we dive into DiSC, the personality assessment that helps everyone communicate and understand each other better.
DiSC stands for the four main personality profiles in the model. “D” is for dominance, “i” is for influence, “S” is for steadiness, and “C” is for conscientiousness. You can score high in more than one.
We dig into the details of each one, but more importantly we apply the profiles to real life examples in our businesses and home lives. Plus we share our own DiSC scores– If you’re a fan of the podcast, you can probably guess a few of them!
This is a fun, insightful episode where we get real about communication hurdles and how to overcome them.

    214. How to Take a Guilt Free Vacation

Guilt-free vacations are a must. You need them. Every single one of your team members needs them. Not only do vacations reduce burnout and illness, but they’re critical opportunities to cross-train staff, create systems, and overall make your business more autonomous and sustainable.
But here’s the thing– no one is going to take a guilt-free vacation if you don’t systematize it. In this episode we teach you concrete steps to make sure you and your team members take vacations that are good for them and good for business.
We break it down into three segments: Preparing your team, preparing your clients, and preparing yourself. We also touch on how to build vacation into your company culture: Mandatory vacation, including vacations on vision boards and quarterly goals, etc.
Whether taking off a single day terrifies you, or you have a decent vacation practice, this episode has tried-and-true tips for you to strengthen your vacation “muscle.”

Love the vulnerability

I love how you don’t just talk about strategies and tips for each topic but how you allow vulnerability and honesty as business women and as extraordinary women, moms, sisters and mentors.

My best motivator!

After tuning in to Episode #184 - "Make More Money On Fewer Leads," I experienced a renewed sense of optimism regarding my staying in this business 💪🏻. Connecting with prospects has always been a challenge for me, as I often feel I lack the necessary value to genuinely engage them. However, the insightful takeaways from this podcast have provided me with actionable strategies to overcome this hurdle. The emphasis on resilience resonated deeply, especially in a profession where the timing of the next sale remains uncertain.

A heartfelt thank you to Empire Building for delivering exceptional and practical strategies ❤️. Your content is both insightful and actionable, and I find your voices particularly engaging! I aspire to communicate with the same finesse and confidence as your team. Keep inspiring us! ☀️
