Majestic Wisdom

Heather Sanderson

Welcome to Wave 2 of Majestic Wisdom Podcast! Wave 1 included 23 episodes of co-created interviews with others who were sharing their wisdom and bringing their magic into the world. These interviews also sparked the creation of seven books in a series called The Future is Possible. After three years of that first wave of podcast creativity feeling complete, this second wave has appeared all of a sudden. The inspiration comes from the connections and wisdom shared by others at book readings for my first kids book, The Dog Who Wanted to Be a Butterfly!

Wave 2, Episode 2: You Are Your Own Answer

This podcast episode is a five-minute excerpt from a longer conversation between Sydney Kale and Heather Sanderson where they came to an "ah-ha" moment of realization and wanted to share it with you! In it they discuss the challenges of conveying experiential knowledge, particularly in fields like plant communication and energy modalities. They explore the tension between needing scientific explanations and valuing personal experiences, emphasizing that multiple truths can coexist and that individual experiences serve as valid answers. See what resonates with you as you listen! About Sydney: Sydney Kale is a Ph.D. student of Wisdom Studies at Ubiquity University, focusing on plant intelligence and phenomenology. Her plant-relationship practice culminates in an exploration of co-authorship with plants in both academic and creative works. While her primary focus is plant studies, these inquiries provide a lens to explore plantness, humanness, and aliveness through deep listening, attunement, and embodied knowing. She is the author of The Love Language of Plants, a collection of essays written with plants at her home in Asheville, North Carolina. She also publishes a blog sharing her curiosities about the felt experience of being a human and a plant in a non-academic creative forum. About Heather: Heather Sanderson is a multi-talented writer with a focus on the healing arts. Her Dreaming with the Plants series has twenty-two titles in print, and focuses on spiritual and practical plant medicine for modern times. A yoga instructor, reiki master, and sacred plant expert, Sanderson is deeply immersed in healing on many levels. Her mission in life is to help people remember their magic. The Dog Who Wanted to be a Butterfly is her first children’s book. Wave 2, Episode 1: The Broken Crayons

Welcome to Wave 2 of Majestic Wisdom Podcast! Wave 1 included 23 episodes of co-created interviews between Heather Sanderson and others who were sharing their wisdom and bringing their magic into the world. These interviews also sparked the creation of seven books in a series called The Future is Possible. After three years of that first wave of podcast creativity feeling complete, this second wave has appeared to Heather all of a sudden. The inspiration comes from the connections and wisdom shared by others at book readings for her first kids book, The Dog Who Wanted to Be a Butterfly! In this first nine-ish-minute episode she shares the wisdom that came from a seven-year-old girl. This young girl had a great perspective about a brand new box of crayons that included some with broken-off tips. Even since recording this, Heather has had several more insights about the significance of what she told us all. She hopes by sharing this story with you, it inspires your own connections and wisdom too! And she looks forward to sharing other moments of wisdom in the form of short stories like this one with you in future episodes because we all do have wisdom to share. It feels good to be back! Episode 22 – The Outrageous, the Foolish, + the Divine with Janet Morgan

In this episode of Majestic Wisdom Podcast Heather co-creates with visual artist, author, teacher, and all-round creative force, Janet Morgan. Janet shares brilliant insights about how some of her best work started out with a failure, rejection, and/or making a mess. For Janet, this connects to the creative process, problem-solving, and finding her way through something that may feel like it’s not working, so that she can do what it is she wants or needs to do (in art and in life). By exploring the outrageous, the foolish, and the divine (including painting deities and landscapes), Janet shares deeply about what art is and what it can be, especially in relation to community and community building. We talk about her new book, Coney Island Awakes, and how many of these themes are present in this magical work and, mostly, we had a lot of fun creating together! We hope you have fun listening too! Heather offers a plant spirit reading for Janet, connected to her work and being. We hope that this podcast will help you immerse yourself in the outrageous or foolish, so that you find your own way to connect to the energies (and deities) around you too. Episode 18 - Investing in the System of Love with Juan Lee

In this episode of Majestic Wisdom Podcast Heather co-creates with Juan Lee, transformational speaker, coach, and author of Love Made Simple: A Guide to Inner Peace, Contentment and Success. Juan shares his vision for love as a system and framework that humanity must invest in so that we can survive. His confusion about love as it was presented to him in Christianity as a child, mixed with his life experience in the military, helped form his journey into understanding the essential nature of love: what it is and how it helps everyone. We talk about capitalism, love-ability, death, seeing how system of love emulates nature, and how love fortifies weaknesses both individually, in groups, and ultimately, in the entire system that we call humanity. Heather also offers a plant spirit reading in relation to humanity's healing the force of love. As Juan himself says, he talks about love made simple, not easy, and there are plants willing to help in this crucial planetary evolution. Click here to listen to this episode now.
