But I’ve made a deal with the forest. I've agreed to wander; to wander as long as I can, to wander as long as the forest wishes. I don't completely understand what she wants with me, but I wander because it's the only way I have to keep the person I love most safe. I wander because it’s the only way I’ll get him back. Maybe this would have been better with a different Narrator. I couldn’t hear him. It’s like a soft mumble the whole time. I can’t even comprehend what’s happening because I’m trying so hard to understand the Narrator’s pattern of speech, etc. I’ve listened to this Narrator in other stories and didn’t struggle as much. It made me uncomfortable…like something bad was about to happen.
