Episode 30: Back-to-School Balance: Routines for Busy Moms

Ah yes, September is almost here, a.k.a back-to-school season for our kiddos–no big deal, right, sis? Screams internally While it's obviously exciting for us busy moms to anticipate another year of learning and growth for our "tiny" humans, the looming reality of getting back to a structured routine after months of summer fun is–let's face it–scarier than realizing you've forgotten to do your skincare routine for a week. But does navigating this shift have to be that dreadful? Well, from my experience, not if you're able to cover a few critical bases. I'm talking setting SMART goals, mastering time blocking, and more game-changing strategies. So, if you've got a few minutes to spare, I invite you to tune into this episode as I dive into the juicy details! Catch the full episode below or on iTunes or Spotify!   Listen out for:    Setting Clear Goals [6:13] Prioritizing Self-Care [13:39] Time Management [20:19] Balancing Work and Family Life [22:53] Spending Quality Family Time [25:26]   Quotes   "[By] using the smart framework, you're essentially ensuring that your goals are clear, actionable, and aligned with your overall vision of your life. This really helps you to stay focused and motivated, and also it increases your chances of achieving them." [12:12]   "As a busy mom, we often put ourselves last on every single list, but really, prioritizing our self -care is crucial, A, for maintaining our energy, B, for maintaining our productivity, and C, for teaching our kids how to take care of themselves and building it into their day -to -day lives, so they're not putting themselves at the bottom of the totem pole.” [14:01]   “[Time blocking] really helps you to dedicate specific time and focus to a specific group of tasks. The beauty of this is that it really helps you focus on one thing at a time, reducing the distractions and really increasing your productivity.” [21:19]   “[T]he biggest boundary you can set is with yourself” [23:42]   Bonus    Learn more about me here 👉 https://www.soulfueledlife.com/       Connect with me on my socials    ✨Facebook -  www.facebook.com/shayhrobsky  ✨Instagram -  www.instagram.com/shayhrobsky  Like this episode?    Subscribe to my podcast & please leave a positive review on iTunes or Spotify. Episode 29: Implementing the TIME Method for Busy Moms

Have you ever imagined what it’s like to juggle flaming torches while riding a unicycle on a tightrope? Yeah, that's pretty much what balancing business, mama duties, and self-care feels like most days, am I right? Talk about drowning in to-do lists, feeling guilty about screen time (yours and the kiddos), and wondering if "balance" is just a myth – all on a regular basis. I can still remember the amount of times I wanted to tear my hair out when I was caught in this struggle. Now that I’m able to navigate my way through it, I feel compelled to share my strategy with you. Enter the 'TIME Method' – and no, it's not about adding more hours to your day (though wouldn't that be nice?).  It's about working smarter, not harder, across four key areas: Time, Intentional actions, Money, and Energy. Listen to the full episode below or on iTunes or Spotify to learn more!   Listen out for:    Time Management [2:28] Being Intentional [9:13] Money Management [12:23] Energy Management [15:35]   Quotes   "So, looking at your time, are you blocking off your workout times? Are you blocking off your being present time with your family? Are you blocking off your being present time with yourself?" [8:02]   "When we're not choosing intention, when we're being reactive – which means we're reacting to everything happening to us – we are living in that reactive place versus the proactive place... ” [10:06]   “[A] belief is just a story we've told ourselves. It doesn't have to be true. You can change a belief if that's what you feel like you need to do.” [15:21]   “[Stress] is physical and mental drain to our energy, and it can lead to burnout when we aren't managing it properly. [Proper energy management] means letting it flow through and releasing it.” [18:00] Resources  Bonus    Learn more about me here 👉 https://www.soulfueledlife.com/       Connect with me on my socials    ✨Facebook -  www.facebook.com/shayhrobsky  ✨Instagram -  www.instagram.com/shayhrobsky  Like this episode?    Subscribe to my podcast & please leave a positive review on iTunes or Spotify. Episode 28: Creating A Summer Routine That Works For You

Just like that, summertime is officially in full swing, mamas! For our kiddos, this is obviously a dream come true. For us? Well, if you’re a busy entrepreneur like me who’s usually tied to a delicate daily routine, this time of the year can only mean one thing – CHAOS! From our sleep, wake-up, and work times to our daily personal and family activities, every bit of our usual gets shaken up, ultimately putting us at risk of constantly feeling like we’re one melted popsicle away from a full-on meltdown. But you know what? It doesn’t have to be this way! Because having your summer cake and eating it too is no rocket science – it’s simply a matter of intentional scheduling! Not sure where to start? No worries! I’ll walk you through my process today. Listen to the full episode below or on iTunes or Spotify!   Listen out for:    Adjusting Morning Routines [2:15] Incorporating Summer Activities [7:28] Balancing Work and Flexibility [11:20]   Quotes   "[W]hat I want you to think about with adjusting your wake up time and your morning schedule is what's in the best benefit of you showing up as your best and you showing up doing what's going to work best for you and then reverse engineer that so that you know when you have to get up, if you're a person who hits snooze, you'll want to factor that in as well and then you'll want to continue to move." [6:49]   "Are there any [summer activities] that you can incorporate into your routine so that you can be more present with yourself and with your family and get out more?” [10:28]   “[S]chedule those focused client work times, those focus times for you to get your stuff done, so that when you do have that flexibility or need that flexibility, you wouldn't need to compromise your commitments or rush to complete tasks at the last minute.” [13:48] Resources  Bonus    Learn more about me here 👉 https://www.soulfueledlife.com/       Connect with me on my socials    ✨Facebook -  www.facebook.com/shayhrobsky  ✨Instagram -  www.instagram.com/shayhrobsky  Like this episode?    Subscribe to my podcast & please leave a positive review on iTunes or Spotify. Episode 27: Time to Thrive: Bring More Spaciousness Back Into Your Life

Can I get a "hell yeah" if your daily hustle has you stretched thinner than flat tummy laxative tea? Juggling the never-ending demands of work and family can make true "me time" feel like an unattainable luxury. But here's the hard truth: Constantly putting your well-being on the back burner is a one-way ticket to your own personal burnout city. And trust me, you don't want those stamps in your passport! I get it. Self-care can easily fall to the bottom of the priority list when you're being pulled in a million directions. But making space to rejuvenate your cup is the key to showing up as your best self in business, as a parent, and in all areas of life. Because here's what happens when you don't: Anxiety, stress, and exhaustion on an endless loop. Feeling detached and resentful towards your biggest priorities, and making impulsive decisions you later regret – not exactly a recipe for thriving.  I know because I've been there, running on fumes until my tank was totally drained. But once I finally prioritized my own needs through 3 game-changing self-care habits – which I'll be sharing with you in this episode – everything shifted! Listen to the full episode below or on iTunes or Spotify!   Listen out for:    Embracing Unstructured Time [3:33] The Power of Saying No [8:22] Prioritizing Fun, Self-Rejuvenating Activities [11:30]   Quotes   "If you don't have any unstructured time in your day, you're not giving yourself the ability to process any of the thoughts or emotions that you have coming up. And then, eventually, it's going to get to nighttime, or it's going to bubble inside of you for so long that you're thinking, 'Oh my gosh, I'm going explode.'" [4:12]   "Say 'no' more, and yes, it will suck in the beginning because you're going to feel like you are letting people down. But guess what? Every time you say 'yes' to somebody else, especially when you're stretching yourself too thin, you're saying 'no' to you, your health, your mindset, your family, and you're setting that example for the people who are watching you that it is okay to put yourself last – and you and I know that is not okay." [10:50]   “I've been practicing [prioritizing fun time] more, getting with my girls, going on my girl's trips – I do that maybe three to four times a year. And guess what? Every time I get back, I miss my family more and more, and I'm excited to come back because my cup has been filled.” [12:37] Resources    [Insert link to Brendon Burchard’s ‘Growth Day’]   Bonus    Learn more about me here 👉 https://www.soulfueledlife.com/       Connect with me on my socials    ✨Facebook -  www.facebook.com/shayhrobsky  ✨Instagram -  www.instagram.com/shayhrobsky  Like this episode?    Subscribe to my podcast & please leave a positive review on iTunes or Spotify. Episode 26: From FOMO to JOMO: Finding Fulfillment in Missing Out

Raise your hand if you've ever felt the fear of missing out (FOMO) creep in…   You know that nagging voice that says you "should" be doing more, seeing more, and achieving more? That gnawing feeling that your life is somehow incomplete if you're not constantly chasing the next hot thing?   As an ambitious woman juggling it all, FOMO can hit hard. You see those "perfect" stories on social media and start doubting your own path. Before you know it, you’re saying "YES" to everything out of desperation not to miss a single opportunity.   As someone who used to be plagued with FOMO, let me tell you…   That frantic hustle is actually holding you back from true fulfillment. Running yourself ragged to “keep up” only breeds burnout, resentment, and feeling disconnected from your own desires.   The good news? I was blessed to learn how to transform such fear into joy – and I’ll walk you through it today!   Listen to the full episode below or on iTunes or Spotify!   Listen out for:    Dissecting the FOMO Trap [0:47] The Dangers of Standardizing Successes [4:03] Unraveling the Power of JOMO [8:31] Ways to Practice JOMO [14:20]   Quotes   “When I'm thinking of [the] fear of missing out… I am thinking of the overextension of yourself – the committing to events or projects that aren't really focused on where you are in your life and where you want to be.” [7:11]   “You do not have to satisfy everybody's expectations at the expense of your own well-being. Your life is about embracing your choices, finding satisfaction in living a life that feels good to you, and finding joy in your current life, because as far as we all know, we only get one of them.” [10:13]   “[The joy of missing out] is about giving myself permission to push off the pressure of having to have that constant busyness – the relentless need for constant connectivity, the perpetual questions of what others are doing, where they're headed, where I should be, and who I should be with. And it's about celebrating my decision to skip a party or even a family event if needed.” [13:18] Resources    [Insert book that Shay mentioned in the episode about JOMO]   Bonus    Learn more about me here 👉 https://www.soulfueledlife.com/       Connect with me on my socials    ✨Facebook -  www.facebook.com/shayhrobsky  ✨Instagram -  www.instagram.com/shayhrobsky  Like this episode?    Subscribe to my podcast & please leave a positive review on iTunes or Spotify. Ep. 25 - How To Take Care Of Yourself When Life Gets Busy

Sometimes life can be REALLY busy. It feels like we are always on the go. Like there is never enough time. That you always have SOMETHING to do. I feel this in my bones.   There are always deadlines, responsibilities and things that fall through the cracks that you need to go fishing for. Between my family, kid’s schedules, travel, work and trying to get in some “me” time - it feels like there’s hardly a moment to catch my breath.    Even just typing this up, I feel stress in my core around this. I used to feel like there was just never enough time. Never enough moments… never enough.   But the thing is, there is.    And that “moment” is called self-care. And no, I'm not talking about indulgent spa days or extravagant vacations (though if you can swing it, why not?!). It's more about the small, consistent habits that, even in the midst of chaos, help you to be at your best—inside and out.   Today, I’ll walk you through those habits that get you to take time for yourself even when you’re in the busiest seasons of your life.   Listen to the full episode below or on iTunes or Spotify!   Listen out for:    A Look Into A Very Busy Season In My Life [0:21] Giving Yourself Grace + Having A Plan In Place [3:24] Exploring Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Tapping [6:05] Trying Out Somatic Exercises [8:38]   Quotes   “When life is this way and you’re kind of in this limbo area, and you’re trying to do more while also doing less, while also wanting to remember that you're human, and that you also need to take care of yourself… give yourself grace, but also put a plan in place.” [3:24]   “(On the importance of planning) The biggest thing that I noticed with myself over this last few months is that I did not have a plan in place for those weeks where I end up with 32 calls. And so then by Friday, I am completely tapped out, completely wiped, and have nothing left to give other people” [4:00]   “Maybe this [episode] is giving you ideas of hey, I've not been myself, so what can I do to get back to me? Maybe it's exercise. Maybe it's EFT. Maybe it's breathwork. Maybe it's just going for a walk outside and getting some vitamin D and fresh air on your face.
