Celebrities today try to get into the limelight with sex tapes and scandals, and influencers try to get likes and clicks with narcissistic self-promotion. But what if celebrities and influencers could get what they wanted and make society better off? What if there were thousands of living moral exemplars for people to celebrate, admire, and take inspiration?
Today Scot and Adam talk about a little-known concept: Royal Prestige. Royal prestige is how royalty become and stay royalty. It is the countless ceremonies and rituals that make up a royal's life. But does the schedule make the royal or the royal make the schedule? Taking queues from the former king of Thailand, Braus suggests that maybe gaining royal prestige in the US is easier than we might think.
Do we really need royalty in the US? No, not real royalty. It's not even legal. But it is possible today, especially using social media, for someone to begin to experiment with accruing royal prestige. Who knows what could happen? Could there be, someday, a King or Queen of America?
