#40 What if our classrooms embody beauty? With Jessica WhiteGuided by cyclical living & storytelling // DESCRIPTION Let's dream in on beautiful classrooms that speak to our souls I love you to meet Jessica White. A deeply loving neurodiverse writer of stories that heal the soul, educator, mom, homeschooler, curious cyclical beauty and embodied coach for authors & storytellers. With her platform Authors Apothecary (gorgeous name) she supports writers get unstuck and reconnect to their true inner authority through embodied self care. She’s actually a fully trained educator - By the time she was ready to enter the education world chronic illness knocked her off her feet. In the end this path of healing and dealing with chronic illness and neurodiversity ignited her true calling into whole body and cyclical living, writing and learning. Bold and beautiful she decided to work, live and raise her kids in a more embodied way away from the rigid school systems in The U.S. This bright power woman, leads the way in our honest conversation by opening up how it is to navigate the world with a strong neurotypical focus! I believe all teachers of some classroom should listen in to realise how dominant embodied frames can limit so much of our neurodiverse learners and actually keep them small! Let’s dive into this new year with powerful and daring cyclical advice from Jessica, how to heal our relationship with time, energy, attention, and space through seasonal living, somatic practices, and self compassion. #Jessicawhite #NeurodiverseTeaching #CyclicalLiving #authenticbeauty #emotionalintelligence #authorsapothecary // BIOJessica White is a fiction author and story coach who helps neurodivergent, chronically ill, and disabled writers craft authentic stories while honoring their unique creative rhythms. Maybe take a note pad to see if you notice any movements / expressions / facial expressions (the eye roll for example) / intonation / sensations / tied to a certain emotion. What emotions do you recognize, and how do you express them? (TIP: track photo's (not the duck face selfies though ;P) you actually might see some body and facial patterns too. Lets just say me 'Liz' as a child had a very clear emotional frustrated posture that cam out in family photo's!!) https://feelingswheel.com/ // THE EMBODIED EDUCATOR🌍 www.theembodiededucator.nl 👀 Watch+subscribe via Youtube @TheEmbodiedEducator 📱LinkedIn: @Liz Wientjes 📱Instagram: @Bodylizious The Embodied Educator Podcast 👩🏻🏫 is hosted by Liz Wientjes. A lot of women receive a 'late' diagnose of ADHD, because of the medical world missing the patterns for women bodies! my conversation with Jessica also made me remember an interesting interview on women and ADHD on another podcast. There Adele Wimsett says: "We often have our ADHD traits misconceived as character flaws"and this I've experienced first hand many many many times! Liz you are too emotional, Liz you go too fast, Liz you move too much with your body and hands, Liz your facial expression is too wild. Can you just calm down, your enthousiasm is scary... So just sharing here, to maybe help someone somewhere someplace to come home to their beautiful body - however you show up!
