An Audiobook on the Go!
Go Your Own Way is a podcast based on the old choose your own adventure stories. I find myself listening to these while on a long car ride or during lunch. The stories themselves are entertaining enough to keep you interested until the very end, but not too long that you’re sitting for hours. I like how each of the hosts have their own personalities. Eric does the more logical choices, Peter does a combination of logic and emotion, and Jen is more emotional with her choices. It’s the perfect trio!
Of the podcasts I’ve listened to so far, (the most recent Loss of Childhood Self, Walmart Game, and Studio 5) I haven’t had any issues or criticisms at all. I’m looking forward to more episodes!
Adventure Time with Peter, Jenny, and Eric!
I came across the "Go Your Own Way" through a friend and I can honestly say, I'm glad I gave this show a chance. The podcasters, Eric, Jen, and Peter are all very fun and engaging and really make the stories come to life. I find them especially great to listen to during a workout or on my way home from a long commute.
So far, I've listened to the Walmart, Sphinx, Invisible, Lost Expedition, and Studio 5 episodes. You're always in for a laugh during the commentary between story tidbits.
For being a relatively new podcast, I cannot wait to see what more adventures are in store for Peter, Eric, and Jenny.
If there's one thing I must criticize; however, it is the voice acting. Since they are reading stories, it would be nice to hear Jenny or Eric say some lines of dialogue. I think it would be great if they immersed themselves more into the stories, as if they actually were characters. It would definitely call for more humorous commentary and even make the episodes feel even more like an "adventure".
Overall, this is definitely one of the top 5 podcasts that I look forward to on a bi-weekly basis. Can't wait to hear more!
Nostalgic Tales
Go Your Own Way is a podcast that narrates "Choose your own adventure" stories. Some of the stories are actual books, others are online, etc. Peter, Eric, and Jen can be a little monotone sometimes. It would be nice to hear more acting from them. Other than that, the stories themselves are very interesting. Their most recent entry, Studio 5, was actually pretty good. I called it, I thought it was totally Jenny too. Looking forward to whatever stories are in store for them in the future.
