The interviews and stories are so interesting. Really great podcast about the fashion industry. I just wish it was published more often.
Sends me searching

I really didn't know what to expect when I began listening to Seams, but after ten episodes in two days, I am truly blown away. Each episode sends me searching after new material to read, watch or investigate, and gets me thinking about clothing in a broader sense. Jackie Lyden has one of the greatest voices to ever be recorded and is a joy to listen to as she makes connections from what we wear to the world at large. I hope these keep coming for many years to come!
Jacki got me at this quote: “There isn’t a human body type that can’t have a sartorial significance’

Came across Jacki Lyden’s podcast via another excellent podcast “To the Best of our Knowledge”. I appreciate the cultural context Jacki has applied to her podcast on fashion. I too, sewed some of my clothes when young. Most of the quality time my mother had for us was when engaged in practical activities (mother of five children before the days of even a dishwasher). My memories are of my mother helping me pin the pattern onto the bargain basement cloth for my sister and myself. We wore our clothes to school no matter how they turned out! Thank you, Jacki, for turning our minds towards the STORY surrounding what we wear.
Vogue meets The New Yorker

It’s so hard to find fun forward thinking about what we where and why. Seams is it. It’s about life, told through cloths. Not your vapid cloths-horse sweat blog sandwiched between glossy adverts. Plus, Jacki Lyden’s unassuming cool makes and creative story telling makes it a regular listen.
