I lost connection from listening on the radio, I am enjoying catching up on old episodes and revisiting Roy’s wisdom...

I have listened to Roy for years... as a sleep aid. His show is on late night on one of our local AM radio stations. The slow pacing and incoherence put me out in about 20 minutes. His show begins with an announcer cautioning you to have an open mind and warning that you may be shocked by what you hear. The only thing that’s shocking is the lack of professionalism. Roy started one show apologizing for being hoarse. He explained that he had been screaming at his wife. Another one featured a confused Roy and his dopey son, David... who was off mic and couldn’t be heard... trying to figure out how to archive the show. My favorite, though, was the time Roy spent an entire show chasing a cricket around the studio. Roy claims he is “helping people with problems.” But, his “show” is an infomercial. He buys air time on radio stations across the country. He uses the time to peddle his products and sign up the gullible for getaways at his compound in Oregon. He then pretends to offer them counseling and even perform exorcisms! I’d recommend this show to anyone who can enjoy it for what it is... The fascinating spectacle of an elderly grifter grabbing for money in his final days. If you need real help, look somewhere else.
