    Drone Mapping & GIS | Bethany Hall

    Join Elena Buenrostro as she talks with Bethany Hall, (certified GISP) Geographic Information Systems Coordinator at Consolidated Utility District as we discuss all about how she got started in drone mapping and GIS. Bethany Hall has been flying UAVs for over five years as a licensed Part 107 Remote Pilot and is a Geographical Information Systems professional (GISP) with 20+ years of GIS experience in the electric and water utility industries at Consolidated Utility District of Rutherford County. Currently, she is on special assignment as a participant with Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education (ORISE) assigned to the Department of Defense's (DoD) Department of POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. She is serving as the Field Data Collection Coordinator assisting field recovery teams with GPS equipment and mapping services to help recover missing U.S. servicemen around the World. Once her assignment is complete with ORISE and DPAA, she'll return to Consolidated Utility District in Murfreesboro, TN to resume her previous duties as GIS Coordinator. In addition to flying UAVs and mapping battlefields with GIS, Bethany volunteers with the American Association of Geographer’s GeoMentor program introducing kids to geography and UAVs. In addition to her work with Women Who Drone, Elena is also a part of the brand marketing team on Google Play developing content and social media strategies for global social channels, working with top gaming developers and marketing teams to execute global social and engagement content. Theodora Skeadas (President of Harvard W3D: Women in Defense, Diplomacy, and Development) Theodora Skeadas is a Public Policy Associate at Twitter, where she supports a range of policy projects on subjects including disinformation, counter-terrorism, content moderation, safety, public trust, interoperability, and child exploitation. She is also the Executive Director of Cambridge Local First, a non-profit that promotes a local economy community by educating the public and government about the significant environmental, economic, and cultural benefits of a strong local economy. Nora Toure (Founder @Women in 3D Printing | Director, Sales & Service Factory Operations @Fast Radius | TEDx Speaker) Nora Toure has been an additive manufacturing expert since 2010, particularly skilled at building strategy alliances and strong business relationships. She has  a deep understanding and experience of the manufacturing ecosystem with a passion for working at innovative companies driving social value through technology. Besides her career achievements, Nora founded the non-profit Women in 3D Printing in 2014 to promote women leaders in the additive manufacturing industry. She has grown the platform to 15,000+ members spanning 25 countries through 65 chapters.
