In a country obsessed with gossip, the great and the good fear one thing more than any other - scandal.
British scandals change the course of history. They bring down governments, overthrow the rich and cause the mighty to fall. Some are about sex, others about money. In the end, they’re all about power.
But often at the heart of a scandal, there are ordinary human stories. Stories of those caught up in the swirl of outrage.
Who was really to blame for what happened? Why did they do it? And when all is said and done, did anything really change?
From the creators of Business Wars, American Scandal and Ghost Story, comes British Scandal. Each week, hosts Alice Levine and Matt Forde delve into the murkier side of the British elite, from Phone Hacking to Profumo to the short-lived premiership of Liz Truss. Because sometimes the truth doesn’t set everyone free…
New episodes come out every Wednesday for free, or 1-week early and ad-free for Wondery+ subscribers or on Amazon Music with a Prime membership or Amazon Music Unlimited subscription.

Kundrecensioner
Great story, too many annoying interruptions (S2 better)
Great story, well told, and well dramatized that is unfortunately interrupted every 1-2 min with commentary and jokes. The hosts are likable and try to be funny but the constant interruptions destroy flow, tone and audience engagement into the episodes. Also extremely frustration to the point of wanting to shut off the episode. The jokes are off topic, annoying and forced. Like having someone talking, asking questions and joking behind you at the cinema. Add frequent commercials to that and you never get a chance to really get into the story. Can improve if hosts and producers are more disciplined in when and how they cut in. Also - better at establishing the different roles for the host. One tells the story, one listens. They don’t do this at the beginning of ep witch makes the whole experience a bit confusing. Hopefully they do this again and approve the concept.
S2 — happy I get to do this. Checked back on this pod and it’s much better. In almost every way I criticized above. Good job to all involved.
Love it
I really enjoyed this podcast. As a swede i’m not really aware of all events going on in Great Britain so it’s been very educational. Interesting , well executed and at the same time performed with a big sence of humor. I love it!
Absolutely love it!
Found the podcast because I simply adore Alice in My dad wrote a… and her task master season was the greatest!
The first series of this informative and funny podcast captivated me from episode 1 and the rest has been just as interesting.
Lots of love from Sweden <3
