Curiosity And Compassion​ with Dr Laura Cobb

Dr Cobb’s professional path includes overseeing the Family Advocacy Program for the U.S. Army-Europe which her educated about, and helped prevent, sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse across 5 countries, 22 Army installations, and 200,000+. For 16 years she was an adjunct faculty member for various universities teaching courses including marriage and family relationships, human sexuality, ethics for counsellors, human development across the lifespan, and various other sociology-related courses. She served as the President of the European Branch of the American Counseling Association as well as on various professional boards with interests in Family Advocacy, Army personnel and their families, gender and equality and social justice.

Currently, Dr. Cobb works to empower high achieving, ambitious women to live authentic lives by teaching them how to use a positive mindset to prevent self-sabotage so they can suit up and show up so they can stand up and speak up in every boardroom, classroom, and bedroom knowing that they deserve to be there because they’ve earned that right. She offers keynote speaking engagements, team building & collaboration workshops, individual and group coaching, online workshops, and human development courses.

Dr. Cobb earned a B.S. and M.S. in Sociology from Illinois State University, a M.A. in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Maryland, and a PhD in Child Development and Family Studies from Purdue. 

Her volunteer work involves serving as an on-call crisis phone operator for domestic violence and sexual assault, animal welfare advocate for special needs fur children, and as a coach for under privileged community college students to increase matriculation.
