Finding Your Way Home to the Father

Do you feel stuck in your marriage? Do you wish you could sometimes show up differently in how you parent your children? Do you desire a slower pace of life for your family?   We all run into problems in our closest relationships, especially with those we love the most. But what if the problems we face are intensified, or perhaps even created, because of our own internal insecurities or lack of feeling loved?  In episode 4 of season 1, Finding Your Way Home, we talk about the foundational solution to many of our relational concerns: Finding your way home to the Father's love. Unfortunately, like any other relationship, this takes time and practice, especially if we already don't feel lovable.  In this episode, we discuss how we and our relationships change when we feel “delighted in,” we share our own stories of experiencing the Father’s love, and we offer insights on how we can move from intellectually understanding the Father’s love for us, to genuinely experiencing it.  Time Stamps: 1:02 Introduction: The definition of joy 3:08 Why we start with the Father’s love 3:37 Relational problems in light of the matrix we find ourselves in 5:45 The relational experience of love, particularly from the Father 9:30 How life looks when we know someone is delighted to be with us 11:01 The effects of not being delighted with yourself 13:38 How we love others is an overflow of how we feel loved 15:38 Right brain versus left brain experiences of love 19:19 The journey to “experiencing” the Father’s love 25:22 When the Father doesn’t feel safe to come home to 26:50 Why the thing that gives us the most life is often the thing we most resist 28:38 The way the Father speaks to each of His kids 30:03 How the Father sees and chooses us 33:36 The feeling of “home” and Christi’s 30-day challenge for you Show Notes: Download NONAH's brand new single: Find My Way Home by clicking here: https://bellpartners.ffm.to/findmywayhome Interested in the most joyful men's discipleship coaching journey?! From Red Carpet to Revival

The Famous at Home podcast has a new beginning! Though we have over 400 previous episodes out in the world, this is the start of a new vision for Famous at Home, what we call “red carpet to revival.” Welcome to Season 1! Each new season will consist of seven episodes and be built around specific topics to help bring revival to your family. Season 1 is called “Find Your Way Home,” where we talk about the meaning behind this new phrase and why it sets the foundation for the emotional connection and spiritual growth you desire in your own home. In today’s episode, we talk about the reckoning that happened in our marriage and why nearly quitting Famous at Home was toiling the soil for the dead seeds to give birth to life all over again. As we talk about moving from “red carpet to revival,” our hope is that you see how it applies to your family in this cultural moment you find yourself in.
