BONUS: Why Can No One Buy A House
President Biden worries about high housing costs. So do Republicans in Congress. The consensus reflects a major problem: Tens of millions of families, across red and blue states, struggle with rent and home prices. The reason is a longstanding housing shortage whose problem goes back further.
But action in Washington won’t make a huge difference. America’s affordable housing crisis is likely to be solved in cities and states...but only after much time and struggle

Sacred Band of Thebes: Gay or Nay?
To gay or not to gay, that is the question. The Sacred Band of Thebes was an elite unit of the Theban army comprised of purportedly 150 gay male couples totaling 300 men. This is a force that for years would remain undefeated in battle until they were wiped out to the last man by Alexander the Great. But What is their story? How did they become so famous? And why are they both not talked about enough and too much? The heroics of these men are legendary, but how much of it is legend?

I love you’r kontent.
But can you do somting about Swidich history.
Great Podcast!
Noticed on TikTok that you have made it to the podcasting universe, so I had to immediately check it out. Very well made, interesting and fun podcast. Will definitely keep listening to what I hope will be a very long running podcasting career.
If you ever decide to make any episodes about Swedish history (since in Swedish myself) I can recommend a couple of interesting topics.
* Håtuna games. Basically a failed version of the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones in but in Sweden in the year 1306.
* Stockholm Bloodbath 1520, a massive event in Swedish history that led to the liberation of Sweden.
* Swedish Empire 1611-1721. When Sweden was a massive player and great power in Europe.
Keep up the good work!
Sincerely, Per.
