    Navigating Your Nutrition & Training on Holidays

    Welcome back to Long Story Short with Vicky Cornick!
    Today's episode is the Finale for season 1 and given that it is the first week of July, and summer is in full swing, Vicky will be sharing her tips for navigating your nutrition and training whilst on holidays.
    Finding that balance between restricting yourself and overindulging on holidays is something a lot of people struggle with. You may have had a very regimented routine before going away with specific foods and dedicated exercise times. But when we go on holidays, our routines change. Maybe you're drinking more alcohol, eating higher calorie foods out at restaurants, maybe you don't have access to a gym and you aren't training.
    It is important to find that balance between taking a break, and not losing your routine completely and then feeling bad about it once the holiday is over. Before going away, try to decide the type of holiday you will have (in terms of nutrition & training), own it, and have no guilt or negative feelings around that decision.
    This is just one of the many helpful tips Vicky share with us in today's episode.

    Welcome back to Long Story Short! Today Vicky is chatting with Luke Murray.
    Luke is a Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapist who worked for Arsenal Football Club, London Irish Rugby Club, King’s College Hospital and St. Bart’s Hospital in London. Luke was also a Strength & Conditioning intern at Chiefs Super Rugby Club & Rowing New Zealand throughout the 2014 season. Luke has a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science from University of Limerick and MSc in Physiotherapy from University of Brighton in England. He has since moved back to Ireland, working as an online physiotherapist and trainer and currently studying medicine at the University of Limerick. 
    In today's episode, Vicky and Luke discuss back pain. So many of us experience back pain and don't really know the reason why, or how to treat it. Luke debunks the 'quick fix' solutions and explains what really helps you improve your back pain.

    Welcome back to Long Story Short with Vicky Cornick! On today's episode, Vicky is sharing her personal experience with her breast reduction surgery.
    From a young age, Vicky always knew that this surgery is something she wanted to do. Having larger breasts started to affect her training and confidence, and one day something happened that was the final straw and led to the decision to finally book the consultation.
    She let's us in on the reasons she felt she needed the surgery, what the consultations were like, how the surgery went and if she is happy with the results!

    Claire became the first person to represent Ireland at the Freediving World Championships in 2019. When she's not holding her breath underwater, Claire is reading, teaching and talking about breath and what it can do for our body, mind and voice on land.
    In this episode, Claire talks about suffering with mental illness in her 20's and how discovery breathe work finally brought her a sense of clarity and purpose. Freediving provided a fresh perspective that transformed her life and helped her find freedom.
