September is recognized as National Recovery Month. It recognizes the evidence-based treatment and recovery practices that support a strong & proud recovery community. It also recognizes the service providers and community members who make recovery in all its forms possible.

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."
