This helps me a lot in speaking more natural and casual English. You both are always energetic and motivating which got my full attention to the flow of your conversation.
A veteran listener's question

Hi Jessica and Michelle, I found out about your podcast in 2014 when I needed to get TOEFL exam to pursue PhD in an English-speaking country. I wasn't going to take IELTS but your podcast was the one and only the best of all other English-speaking-related podcasts and it still is! I hadn't signed up for any class to study for TOEFL but just by listening to your podcast I got the score I needed back then. I haven't given up listening to the podcast, I started to listen to AAE podcast as well. Currently, I have been living in Singapore and studying for doctoral degree. I know there are couple of podcast episodes regarding the cultural differences; however, I am still not sure how to respond a Singaporean way of greeting people that I encounter. It's a very common phrase to hear "Have you eaten?" when you run into locals. In western societies, we tend to say "good morning" or "good afternoon" etc but whenever I hear this phrase I freeze and I don't know how to respond. How would you guys respond? Thank you for the great podcast! P.S. I have signed up for IELTS for the first time and I will keep you updated once the scores are out.
Love it
