Shanda tells the story of pageant winner Joyce McKinney who in 1977, traveled to England from Salt Lake City where she allegedly kidnapped, imprisoned, and raped her Mormon boyfriend Kirk Anderson, and the tabloids made her a celebrity for the ultimate “he said, she said” recount of the events. Ashley recounts the tragic life story of the 1957 Miss USA winner Mary Leona Gage; a story that includes a troubled childhood, being twice married with two children by 18 years old, being dethroned after it was found out she lied to the pageant committee, leading to a life of more marriages, estranged children, drugs, overdoses, and a meager career in Hollywood.
