What to do to notice cancer symptoms
On this episode of the Cancer Killers Podcast, Youarn talks about what to do to notice cancer symptoms. Creating a habit of listening to your body, and talking with those close to you. Cancer can be quiet, and you need to learn to listen carefully. Show notes: Welcome Tease last week’s sneak peek for the end of today’s podcast - DISPELLING THE MYTHS ABOUT TESTS - WHAT KINDS OF TESTS THERE ARE, AND THE BIGGEST MISTAKE MEN MAKE WHEN IT COMES TO THIS After the intro rolls though, we’re gonna go right to the very start of it all. Noticing Symptoms. Noticing Symptoms Listening to your body Early detection - prevention is better than cure You're not as young as you used to be When something just doesn't feel right Emotional influence over physical health? What to do? Incorporating an awareness check into your routine from mid-30's after fun 20’s **BREAK** Noticing Symptoms cont. Listening to others Speaking to your partner and friends Speak to relatives - does it run in the family? Speaking to a physician **BREAK** The digital rectal exam isn’t the first part of the process!!! First is a PSA blood test Followed up by both or either an ultrasound or an MRI ONLY THEN, if things seem to be going in that direction, will someone put on the gloves! There are 2 mistakes here: THE BIGGEST MISTAKE is conflating the digital exam with manliness or losing it NOT GETTING TESTED BECAUSE OF THAT BELIEF!!! You life could depend on it Youarn update - chemo last week Surprised by the result, although no sleep Worked the next day Doctors said that 2nd onwards will be more challenging Blood test today for 2nd jab tomorrow

Cancer Killers Podcast Episode 2 - Being life focused
Episode 2 - Show Notes
Welcome
Introduce new format
More pointed conversation - better direction - more value in less time
It will be done in sections that flow from one part to the next
In between sections there’ll be the opportunity to drink, etc and you won’t miss a thing!
My cat likes to get involved - so there’s that…!
I have a content plan that’s going to build on everything as we go along.
Everything episode will be independent, but put together they will create a stronger picture
At this stage, we’re looking at a plan of around 50-52 weeks of content - but there’ll be more as the podcast grows
Looking to grow into Q&A episode as well - not sure whether they’ll be extra on top of the original plan or part of - let me know what you think.
**BREAK**
Ideation of Cancer Killers
Why did I create it?
I saw what was missing?
Testing which leads to early detection
How it plans to help others
Education and broad awareness - very little funding going to awareness.
Take away stigma
Support - for those with and alongside those that have it
Creating a conversation in a different way - not dry or depressing - LIFE FOCUSSED!!
**BREAK**
News of my journey
What I’ve done thus far
Scans, Radiotherapy
Chemo starting tomorrow
How I prepare for that
What I expect
The support I’ll use
The hair!!! Taking control

Cancer Killers Podcast Episode 1
Welcome to episode 1 of the Cancer Killers Podcast!
There's no hard and fast plan here - I just wanted to get in front of you and get the ball rolling. We'll get better over time, but for right now, it was important to come and say hi! Now that's all done, I'm already looking forward to episode 2 where we can start talking more in depth about this.
I promise, moving forward there'll be more of a plan rather than just ramblings. And if I do ramble, I'll do my best to make them as amusing as possible for us all...! -
