Delphi Study on Wound Closure & Dressing Management

The Journal of Arthroplasty’s: The Cut

In this special episode of The Journal of Arthroplasty’s: The Cut, Kimberly K. Tucker, MD and Elizabeth G. Lieberman, MD spoke with experts Antonia F. Chen, MD, MBA and Michael A. Mont, MD about an international delphi study on wound closure and dressing management for both total knee and total hip joint arthroplasty. The study consisted of 20 orthopaedic surgeons from both Europe and North America. A consensus was achieved after three rounds of anonymous voting which required at least 75% agreement. The study was birth from the recognition that very little and certainly not a lot of great literature currently exists on wound management and dressing.
