Why I had to leave Military- Nia Hartsfield
What I have coined as the 80/20 philosophy. Today’s self-defense is more sports-based with respect to the opponent versus a way of life. It is my belief that self-defense is 80% cognitive and only 20% physical.
Nia Hartsfield is an ex-navy officer, women’s Self Defense Instructor, and the owner of Hard Candy Self-Defense. She’s an ex-navy officer and has 12 years of training and experience in Cognitive Defense Measures, Firearms Handling and Safety, Kickboxing, Krav maga, and Brazillian jiu-jitsu.
While the military reports the low rate of violence against women, Nia's experience is certainly not one of the few.
