Hey, I’m Charlotte - a personal trainer, wellbeing coach, mum and a wife who works because I love my job. I was living the chaotic, distracted life of working a full day, while also managing the emotional and mental load of being a mum - trying to make sure that everyone’s needs were met, while forgetting about my own.

I was tired of feeling guilty for having a job I love knowing that it took emotional energy away from my family. I finally realised that if I was going to enjoy my work and my journey of motherhood, I needed to set boundaries and make choices that would make me feel more in control, healthier and happier so that I could be the coach and the mum I wanted to be. I created a plan that fits ME. A way of being that allows me to focus better, be present and enjoy the moment while also finding time for me in amongst the noise. And I am ready to share it with you!

    When the to do list is as long as our arms, it is so easy to jump from task to task, suddenly remembering that something needs to be done or reacting to a request for something from one of the many people who have needs or expectations of us.
    The flustered, chaotic feeling that comes from jumping around from task to task is exhausting while the feeling of being in flow and getting things done is hugely invigorating. In this episode, we look at the things that we can stop doing so that we can find that place of flow, of invigoration and energy that will allow us to be productive and get things done so that we can be present with our work and with our children when we close up our laptops at the end of the day.

    37 | Lesson’s Learnt About Living From My Daughter’s Open-Heart Surgery

    On 9 June 2022, my two-year-old daughter was wheeled into theatre to undergo open heart surgery.  As I watched her prepare for the surgery and in the days following this ordeal, I was in awe of how she managed the whole process and it got me thinking about why she was able to do so with such calm and ease and peace.
    It made me think about how we could live our lives more like this and so I offer my journey through this process and my learnings from this journey in today’s episode.
