Tre tulipani – part 1

Golazzo: The Totally Italian Football Show

Ruud Gullit, Frank Rijkaard and Marco Van Basten were so good, they made up the entire podium for the 1988 Ballon D’Or.

The Dutch trio, known as the three tulips, were pivotal to the Netherlands’ Euro 88 triumph and this Golazzo concentrates on the years that led to them becoming a collective at San Siro.

Part one of this two-part special also includes Ruud’s reggae band and a heated debate over the best goal ever.
