In today's Good Shepherd Sunday sermon, Ps Cheng elaborated on the essence of God's love for us.
He painted a relatable picture of God as our shepherd, offering perfect knowledge, guidance, and protection.Ps Cheng highlighted the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who died to redeem us from sin and its hold on our lives.He emphasized the gift of the Holy Spirit, empowering us to resist temptation and live a life pleasing to God.Most importantly, Ps Cheng emphasized the message of unity. We are not just forgiven, but invited into a deep and personal relationship with God. Regardless of denomination, we are all part of one flock, united by our faith in Jesus Christ.

Develop the habit of scripture reading, to talk to and be intimate with God. How to be witness of Christ if we have not known Him personally? Today's message by Br Lim Geok Seng is about experiencing the reality of the resurrected Christ. Unlike the early disciples, modern Christians are privileged to have the Bible. Do we then place engagement with the word of God above worldly distractions or are we feeding our mind with mundane ideas that lead to doubts? Therefore, put in effort to pursue, check and verify, to touch, feel and to experience firsthand the risen Jesus!

The message of Pr Allan Ng's sermon today: He who believes without seeing has eternal peace. It is through spirit-filled believers that Christ touches the world. Jesus has already accomplished the perfect peace for us on the cross, bridging the gulf of sin that separates mankind from God. We are subsequently dispatched to share peace with others. Meanwhile, the church holds the power to absolve those who truly repent. Holy Baptism and Holy Communion are also means of grace that enjoined believers with the mercy and peace of God.
