    Gita Chaudhuri : Exploring a new career path and understanding the importance of communication

    Dr. Gita Chaudhuri is a Ph. D in English Literature from Gujarat University. She received the Professor F.C Davar Gold Medal for achieving first rank in MA. She was a Visiting Faculty member at IIM Udaipur from 2012 to 2020 where she taught Written Analysis and
    Communication (WAC). She has also taught the same course at IIM Ahmedabad. She also taught Communicative English at St Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad for five years.
    Besides her interest in teaching, she has an abiding interest in translation of literary works. In 2017 she received the Sahitya Akademi Translation Prize for translating Mahatma Gandhi’s autobiography My Experiments with Truth from the original Gujarati - Satya na Prayogo into Bangla – Satyer Anweshan. She has several publications to her credit. Her translation of the first Dalit Gujarati autobiography Purna Satya by Keshar Shivam into English, The Whole Truth and Nothing but the Truth has been published by Samya Publication, Kolkata. It is used
    as a text in Germany.
