The absolutely true diary of a part-time Indian is about this boy with brain damage named Junior and how he goes through many difficult things in his life but he comes out a better person. At the beginning of the book we meet Junior, he is the bullied messed up kid because he was born with a brain disease. He is the nerd in the school, he doesn't believe in himself, and he has to have a bodyguard to protect him. He goes to Wellpinit and his best friend is Rowdy who protects him from the kids at his school, his parents are drunks, or at least his dad is one and his mom used to be, and they're very poor.
