    A Quick Update

I missed you!  Did you miss me? Lol  I am hopping on to give a quick update since I haven’t released an episode in about a month. Life has been taking a toll on me!  In this brief update I talk about Black History Month, Heart Health Month, give an update on what’s been going on in my world with a bonus “Does That Make Me Old?” moment, give an update on the podcast, and give some recommendations on shows and movies to watch.  I will be back with new episodes in April, but in the meantime, catch up on previous episodes and share your favorite episodes with someone else.  Please send me any recommendations about what you want/don’t want to see in future episodes.  Let me know how the background music sounds in this episode?  I can be reached by email at thetsidepodcast@gmail.com or on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.           Connect with Tawnya: Website: www.thetsidepodcast.com  Email: thetsidepodcast@gmail.com  IG and Twitter: @t_sidepodcast  Facebook:  https://facebook.com/thetsidepodcast    Sponsors: Audible - Get a FREE audiobook and a 30 day Free Trial www.audibletrial.com/tside   BetterHelp - Visit https://betterhelp.com/tside  and join over one million people taking charge of their mental health with the help of an experienced professional.  Special offer for T-Side listeners...get 10% off your first month at https://betterhelp.com/tside       For Immediate Help call or chat: The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 800-273-8255(HELP) or https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org    Music Credit: Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/prigida/moonshine  License code: CLLG3CKDVR5CDSSM

S3, Track 14: Da Hood Heals Segment: Therapy

Have you ever thought about going to therapy, but only heard horror stories from other people that went?  If so, this episode is for you.  This episode is being dual released in conjunction w/ ShaVanna Spratt, host of Da Hood Talks Podcast.  Last year she reached out to me about partnering with her in her new series called “Da Hood Heals” where she brings different experts on to talk about therapy and the importance of mental health particularly in communities of color.  We agreed that while people often talk about going to therapy and seeking mental health treatment, we don’t tell you HOW to do it.  So we decided to start with the basics.  I’m going to break the episode down into two different episodes, but if you want to watch the full video, you can find it on her Youtube page here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNBgw_oB6UB1O6E2Mq6b6Ag.  In this episode we discuss stigmas associated with therapy, debunk some myths and explain the different types of counselors.   Next week we will talk about identifying emotions.   Have you ever been to therapy?  Did you find it helpful or did you have your own horror story?  We’d love to hear from you. S3, Track 13: The Enneagram Coach

What exactly is an Enneagram, you ask?  I had the same question so I looked it up and found out that it’s a personality typification system, similar to other popular tests you may have heard of, but much more detailed.  This week I talk with certified Enneagram Coach, Misty Escobar, and have her explain exactly what an Enneagram is and how it can be used to help you with your personal transformation and growth. I identified as a “4”....The Individualist.  Do you know your Enneagram number?  Do you believe this test can correctly identify your true personality?  You can take the free assessment below then leave a comment and let me know!  You can also leave a voicemail at thetsidepodcast@gmail.com to share your thoughts.  I would love to hear from you!
