Sara Bund!! For today, we’re going to be drinking about Gluten Free Beers! For those of you out there that love the taste of good craft beer, but due to having a gluten intolerance or Silica’s disease…fear not! The beers we’re showcasing this evening are here to save the day! So listen/watch in and learn about these delectable safe options for you! Cheers! Tonight’s line up: Glutenberg Blond Ale: ABV 4.5% | IBUs 15 Glutenberg’s Blonde is the proud originator of the range, the pioneer of real good gluten-free beer. Airy and lemony, its golden colour reveals floral and slightly herbaceous notes, giving way to a dry and tasty finish. The brewery’s first official creation, it paved the way for success and continues to assert itself today as a thirsty beer that will charm all palates.   Gutenberg Blanche: ABV 5% | IBUs 13 This is a very unique interpretation of a classic style of Belgian inspiration. Traditionally brewed from wheat, the genre has been completely redesigned in the Glutenberg way in order to present a 100% gluten-free and 100% wheat-free beer, a real tour de force whose recipe only we have! The Glutenberg White is distinguished by its composition of quinoa and amaranth which, while giving it a strong grainy profile, ensures a long-lasting taste. Soft and refreshing, with hints of coriander and curaçao, the White is the perfect nectar to quench your summer thirst.   Glutenberg Pale Ale: ABV 5.5% | IBUs 50 The American Pale Ale is Glutenberg’s first incursion in the universe of hoppy beers. A savoury concoction with citrusy notes, this beer perfectly showcases the brewery’s versatility. Its orange and grapefruit aromas softly temper the straight-up character of American hops by endowing it with a slight touch of bitterness. The result is a delectable, balanced, resinous and full-bodied beer. Glutenberg Rousse Beer (Amber Ale): ABV 5% | IBUs 24 Proudly echoing English brown ales, the Glutenberg Red is renowned for its great complexity, both in its manufacture and in its taste. Brewed from two types of chestnuts, each requiring its own specific roasting method, this smooth beer with a hint of toasted nuts reveals a unique coffee and caramel taste. She stands out in all the charts, with good reason! 2020 *Canada’s Brewing Awards – Beer of the Year   Glutenberg Stout: ABV 5% |IBUs 40 Glutenberg’s Stout is distinguished by its opaque black colour, as well as by its powerful aromas of cocoa and roasted cereals. Robust notes of espresso coffee, dark chocolate and ripe fruit conferred by the dark malt give it a pleasant length in the mouth that will not leave Stout lovers indifferent.

One of the largest craft breweries in the country, Sierra Nevada is well known for its iconic Pale Ale. It should also be known for its love of the Earth. That’s because the Chico, California-based brewery gets all of its energy from solar power. Anderson Valley Brewing Company- Briney Melon Gose: ABV 4.2% | IBUs 12 Born from our passion for experimentation, our Briney Melon Gose boasts a thirst-quenching tartness that is perfectly balanced by subtle watermelon flavors and aromas. Gentle additions of sea salt create a refreshing harmony between the acidity and fruity sweetness leading to the clean, dry finish Hard to miss with their mascot the “beer” (a bear with deer antlers) Anderson Valley is committed to reusing water to help the California drought, donating healthy grains to local livestock, running on 40% solar power, and using recycled cans. Great Lakes Brewing Company- Mexican Lager: ABV 5.4% | IBUs 20 This golden Mexican-Style Lager, brewed with real lime peel and purée and flaked corn for a crisp and refreshing getaway. What Are We Drinking About- Dyngus Day Celebration

“What Are We Drinking About”, w/ Erik & Jodi Dingus Day Episode 04/08/2021 For today's show, we’re celebrating that Polish Holiday- Dyngus Day! We’re doing a Dingus Day episode! Celebrating that holiday and all that is polish in beer! Cheers With that being said we’re I’ve selected a selection of local and international Polish-styled beers!   Tonight’s selection:   Zywiec- Polish Pils: ABV 5.6 | IBUS 30 Taste is very much the same - sweet but naturally so, nice malty taste, no artificial flavors. Little hops but that's actually a benefit as it lets the malty sweetness shine.   Flying Bison Bison- Polonia Pils: ABV 4.8 | IBUs 30 Crisp Pilsner brewed with German Pilsner malt as well as Saaz, Hallertau and Lublin hops. Na zdrowie!     Grolsch – Pislner: ABV 5.0% | IBUS 28 A traditional Polish styled Pilsner style beer with a big hoppy flavor and bite owing to dry hopping late in the brewing process. The zesty and fragrant hops make for a refreshingly dry finish and a slight sweet and sharp zing to the palate, which are best enjoyed with rich, creamy foods like pork sausage and mustard mash, quality fish and chips or cheese like Old Amsterdam, Edam or Brie. Grolsch is known to use a distinctively shaped bottle for its beer, known as de beugel or 'swingtop'   Zywiec- 1881 Porter: ABV 9.5% | IBU N/A Zywiec Porter pours mahogany to black, letting no light in, with a thin tan head. The aroma is malty with a little molasses and a faint undertone of coffee that's nearly indistinguishable. It's a different tasting porter than most, especially when it's cold. At first it seems crisp, with a faint lagery yeast that's mostly masked by roasty malt. If you let it warm, it really opens up into a malty smooth porter with balanced molasses and dark roasty tones that play nicely on your tongue. It sits pretty heavy in your mouth and when warmer, you can get a boozy bite on the finish that's pretty pleasant. At 9.5%, it's nothing to scoff at, but the alcohol is hidden well especially when it's cold. If you're into porters, try this one out for the uniqueness of it, as they've been brewing this one from the same recipe since 1881.
