    What We Believe About The Church

    The church is the vehicle through which we are sanctified through and through which God has chosen to reach the lost. To the disciples, Jesus said, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:9) The local church is a community of believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord. In obedience to Scripture, they organize under qualified leadership, gather regularly for preaching and worship, observe the biblical sacraments of baptism and communion, are unified by the Spirit, are disciplined for holiness, and scatter to fulfill the great commandment and the great commission as missionaries to the world for God’s glory and their joy.

    What We Believe About The Resurrection

    Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live . . .” (John 11:25) The validity of our faith and the legitimacy of our hope are dependent on the reality of the resurrection of Jesus. Paul states, “if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.” Simply put, if Christ did not rise, we are still condemned.
