Episode 160 Carlos Ramirez of NO ECHO and much more
Carlos Ramirez has spent the last 10 years with his labor of love, No Echo as the voice of the underground. The site champions the up-and-coming bands that may not be represented or have the cool connections to get the word out.
We start back in Queens where it all began. Carlos has been involved in hardcore punk, Metal etc. for decades and still lives and breathes it every day. His story and continued efforts to support the scene he grew up in with No Echo, his relationship with PBR and his overall support of all things underground after all these years is a breath of fresh air.

Episode 159 Pete Morcey. the Mayor of Brass City
Episode 159 Pete Morcey. the Mayor of Brass City
Pete Morcey is an American Hardcore Punk Legend. From his earliest days at the Anthrax Club, to founding Forced Reality, one of the early great American Oi! bands. He would go on to front Higher Force, the first "heavy" hardcore band in Connecticut, which as a scene would become known for heavy bands like Hatebreed and others including 100 Demons, which the Higher Force guys would start up later in the 90s.
Pete would eventually join 100 Demons in the mid 2000s, where they would release one of the genre defining metalcore records of that decade via Deathwish Inc.
He along with friends would found Brass City Tattoo, as well as Shogun ScreenPrinting, Brass City Boss Sounds and the TNT Music Festival, which was a decade ahead of the current trend of Oi! /Hardcore.
He has been there through all of this and still running strong. He has a few more shows with 100 Demons and plenty of new ideas for books, releases and more things to come.

Episode 158 Sam James Velde of Future Now Management and much more
Episode 158 Sam James Velde of Future Management and much more
According to my brother Mexi Mike, Sam Velde may be the Forrest Gump of the Hardcore scene. He happened to be at many great moments throughout the last 4 decades. He also takes all that he has gleaned and put it into his current focus as a manager for Scowl and partner with Ricky Singh of Future Management.
His journey is a great one and a fun story he got to retell.
