    Prayer for Divine Correction.

Hey everyone and welcome to Refinery Life Australia. “Amen and Amen” has been the theme for the last few Sundays. This series is a study from the Psalms, in which the psalmist gives voice to prayers that resound in our hearts today. Today we are discussing, A Prayer for Divine Correction. A devotional study of the Psalms can be particularly helpful in nourishing our faith and assisting us in our prayer life. Psalm 139 emphasises that God has unlimited knowledge and also that God is always and everywhere present. This great psalm celebrates the truth that God is our Creator. It closes with a prayer against the wicked and a prayer for divine correction as the psalmist faced the present and the future. Until next time Stay in the Blessings I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. 3. The Prayers of a Depressed Saint.

    8 SEPT

The Prayers of a Depressed Saint.

Hey everyone I’m and welcome to The Refinery. “Amen and Amen” is the theme for the coming Sunday mornings. This series is a study from the Psalms, in which the psalmist gives voice to prayers that resound in our hearts today. Today we are discussing, The Prayers of a Depressed Saint. The Psalms present a record of the life of God’s people in all of its dimensions. In the Psalms, we find high worship experiences in which praise is being offered to God, but we also find sorrow and grief. We find perplexing questions and expressions of faith. But we also find expressions of despair. Psalm 13, for instance, presents the prayer of a man in deep depression. Today we know that depression can be the result of many different factors. Some people have a tendency toward depression due to hereditary factors. Others experience deep depression because of a chemical imbalance. Depression may be caused by someone close. It may be because of a negative way of thinking. Depression is often the result of weariness and physical exhaustion. Some experience depression because of utter helplessness. Depression can accompany illness. Others experience depression as death approaches. All of us experience some depression because of impatience. Devine chastisement is also a cause for depression. Maybe this was the reason David was depressed and wrote this psalm. Until next time Stay in the Blessings I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. Theres nothing thats too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body! The Prayers of the Psalmist.

Hey everyone and welcome to The Refinery. “Amen and Amen” is the theme for the coming Thursday evening teachings. This series is a study from the Psalms, in which the psalmist gives voice to prayers that resound in our hearts today. Today we are discussing, The Prayers of the Psalmist. Today we continue our study of Psalm 119, the longest of the Psalms and one arranged in an format of twenty two stanzas, each of which uses and emphasises one of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. It is a poem that exults the law, the testimonies, the ways, the precepts, the status, the commandments, the words, and the promises of God. As we read the psalmists words, we’ll find ourselves saying, “Amen and amen.” Until next time Stay in the Blessings I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. Welcome to The Refinery. “Amen and Amen” is the theme for the coming Thursday Sunday mornings. This series is a study from the Psalms, in which the psalmist gives voice to prayers that resound in our hearts today. Today we are discussing, Prayer and the Promises of God. Again today we look at some of the prayers prayed by the psalmist and let his prayers become our prayers. As we read these prayers from the Holy Scripture, it is entirely appropriate that we say “Amen” to his prayers and thus make them personal. 7. Amen and Amen.

    11 AUG

    Amen and Amen.

Welcome to The Refinery. “Amen and Amen” is the theme for the coming few Sunday mornings. This series is a study from the Psalms, in which the psalmist gives voice to prayers that resound in our hearts today. Today we are discussing, Amen and Amen. Amen is a transliteration of the Hebrew word into both Greek and English. Amen means “faithful” in reference to God, His testimonies, and His promises. At times the people of God used amen to express their assent to a law and to their willingness to submit to the penalty attached to a breach of that law. Amen is also used to express agreement with another’s prayers. It is also used by some to show agreement when another is offering thanks to God. These verses would suggest that we need to let others help us with our prayers. That is, when someone else prays a prayer that expresses the deep desires of our heart, it is permissible and proper that we say “Amen” either audibly or inaudibly. The psalmist offered up many petitions to which we can say, amen. Until next time Stay in the Blessings I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. 8. The Joy of Living.

    4 AUG

    The Joy of Living.

Hey everyone I’m Gary Hoban and welcome to The Refinery. Go tell it to the mountains is the theme for the next few Sunday mornings, and emphasises the need for modern day followers of Christ to broadcast the good news that was proclaimed so dramatically at the time of His birth. Today’s message is, The Joy of Living. Talking about joy in today’s world is a difficult thing to do. Almost everyone we meet is unhappy with their jobs, and where they live. Joy seems to have vanished from our world. Look at the faces of the people around yours you go about your day, you will probably see many frowns. Listen to people’s conversations, you will probably hear complaints and arguing. What can bring joy to living? Jesus wanted people to have joy. He said, “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. What kind of joy was Jesus talking about? Until next time Stay in the Blessings I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word.
