The giving Tree - By Shel Silverstein

The Giving Tree is an American children's picture book  written and illustrated by Shel Silverstein. First published in 1964 by Harper & Row, it has become one of Silverstein's best-known titles, and has been translated into numerous languages.

As a child, I remember that this was one of my favorite books, and I wanted my parents to read it to me every single night. This book presents a special bond between the tree and the boy, but it's thorough interpretation is not to take things for granted, at the end you will find yourself empty handed.
