你曾在校園裡遇見過校狗嗎？是否也曾好奇，他們從何而來，是誰在照顧？
又或者，對他們的安全性感到疑慮？在這片綠意盎然、開放自由的校園空間中，人類其實正與其他動物一同生活。
透過理解與認識，我們能夠學會與他們和平共處；對於害怕狗的人來說，也或許能因此減輕一些恐懼。

不只在校園裡，實驗室中也常可見到動物的身影。
他們在人類醫療發展的歷程中扮演了關鍵角色，也因此，每年4月24日被定為「世界實驗動物日」，提醒我們：在追求科技進步的同時，也不該忽視這些動物的福祉。

Have you ever come across a campus dog? Have you wondered where they came from or who looks after them? Or perhaps you’ve felt unsure about whether they’re safe to be around? On a green, open, and welcoming campus, humans share the space with other animals. By learning more about them, we can find ways to coexist peacefully. For those who are afraid of dogs, this awareness might also help to ease some of that fear.

Animals aren’t just part of campus life—they’re also present in laboratories. Lab animals have played a crucial role in the development of modern medicine. That’s why April 24 has been designated as World Day for Laboratory Animals: a reminder that as we push forward in science and technology, we must also protect animal welfare. In this episode, we take you inside NYCU’s “3R Smart Classroom” to explore how the rights of laboratory animals are being protected in practice.
