Beautifully Dirty

One day as I was sitting in the car waiting to go on a trip downstate, I saw a beautiful red cardinal resting on the ground eating away at what looked like a small dead animal. In that moment of time, I was distracted. I was not able to see the beauty of that red cardinal because of what he was doing. His actions of eating something dead and decayed turned me off and made me see another side to something that I normally thought of as beautiful.
