In March 2010 Kurt Hemmer, an English professor from Chicago, flew to Guyana to see his friends Doodnauth Singh and Basil Rodrigues. The last time they had been together was at a writer's institute in 1994. Hemmer brought a flip camera to record the reunion. Produced & directed by Kurt Hemmer & Tom Knoff.

Through the stories of homeless street people in Chicago and London we document the transition from living in a home to living on the street. As they develop adaptive strategies, overcome obstacles, and grapple with preserving their sense of
self-esteem, we see the factors shaping the identities of homeless people and their relationships with other members of the public. Produced & directed by Jim Gramlich & Tom Knoff.
