In this episode, host Japleen Pasricha talks to Sonal Dhanani and Nesmah Mansoor about surviving from passion and creating resilience and healthy sustainability. Sonal Dhanani is an award winning women peace builder, mental health advocate, creative professional, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner and trauma-informed facilitator keen on promoting education, mental health initiatives and social action in Pakistan. Sonal was also the member of Pakistan’s first National youth Council by Prime Minister Imran Khan. Nesmah Mansoor is a Youth Human Rights Defender and Peace Activist. She has more than 8 years of experience in human rights, including women and youth rights. Nesmah is the founding member of the Peace Track Initiative and is currently the Media and Advocacy Officer. S03E09: Un-stereotyping the female politician Ft. Kshama Sawant

On the 21st of February, Seattle became the first city in the United States to explicitly ban discrimination on the basis of caste after the ordinance was passed by the City council. The ordinance was introduced by council member Kshama Sawant. Kshama grew up in Mumbai moved to the US and completed a Ph.D. in economics from North Carolina State University. She is a member of the Socialist Alternative, the first, and the only member of the party to be elected into public office. She has been a council member since 2014. She has been crucial in the historic change in minimum wage law in the city. Joining our hosts Shriya and Sukanya in this episode is Kshama Sawant as she speaks about women in politics, being a woman of colour in a white majority country, her fight against caste discrimination, and a lot more! E01: Stories that change lives - How can powerful stories mobilise and create change?

In this episode, host Japleen Pasricha talks about how powerful stories can mobilise and create change. The two guests for the episode are Anna Susarenco from Moldova and Srishti Bakshi from India. Anna founded an international youth network within the UN and one of the largest peer to peer education networks nationally, she has developed guides about youth advocacy tools, facilitated tonnes of workshops, done community organising and so much more. While Srishti embarked on a 3800 km on-foot journey across India from Kanyakumari in the South to Kashmir in the North to understand and end gender-based violence. She met with 100,000 women on her journey, talked to them about gender-based violence and now has created a documentary film, WOMB: Women Of My Billion.
